As the number of electric vehicles on the road increases, more and more truck stops and travel centers are adding or planning to add electric vehicle (EV) chargers. However, there are still several unknowns in terms of how chargers will ultimately connect to a location’s point-of-sale system. “It is sort of the wild, wild west,” said Brad McGuinness, senior vice president, point-of-sale solutions for PDI Technologies. “We’re at the precipice right now, and there is a lot of different charging equipment and there are no standards that I’ve seen to say how I interface from a charger to a POS.” More

Few events will have a more profound influence on politics and policy in 2024 than the November Election.  With less than a year until the 2024 General Election, the country remains just as politically divided as it did the last time the nation elected a President. Inflation, multiple foreign policy crises and feelings of dissatisfaction and pessimism for the future puts voters in a position where their focus is less on voting for their preferred nominee and more on voting against the candidate they fear will put the country on the wrong path.  All of this will influence policies that affect the business community, including NATSO members.  More
